MEET COACH GARRETT
Garrett Patton is a nationally recognized coach, former Division I standout, and lifelong tennis educator. A Boise native and former No. 1 at Boise State, Garrett led the Broncos to four consecutive Mountain West titles and a national team ranking of #15. After competing professionally on the ITF Futures tour across Asia, Europe, and North America, he transitioned into elite coaching—working with the USTA, top collegiate programs like Michigan, Cal Poly, and UCSB, and serving as a Team USA coach at the Master'U BNP Paribas in France.
Garrett is known for his dynamic coaching style, deep strategic knowledge, and passion for developing players at every level. In Santa Barbara, he’s coached at UCSB, led both the boys’ and girls’ teams at Santa Barbara High, and served as a tennis pro at La Cumbre Country Club.
As Co-Founder of Opencourt, Garrett brings world-class coaching to the local level—building accessible, community-forward programming that makes tennis more modern, inclusive, and fun.
